Overview
Nestled deep in scrumptious Somerset, where cheese and lip-smacking cider reign supreme, you'll find our gorgeous Minehead site. It's perched in a cracking spot overlooking marvellous Minehead, Somerset's largest seaside resort, and promises great days out in the stunning Exmoor National Park.
Your snug Ready Camp retreat comes well-equipped with two spacious bedrooms, real beds, a cushiony sofa and furnished dining area. The site itself is a beautiful haven, sitting pretty in a peaceful wooded setting with hot showers, clean toilets and laundry amenities - perfect after a long hard day on the beach.
Of course there's plenty more to glamping in Exmoor than sea 'n sand. Join the famous South West Coast Path, which starts right here in Minehead, and take in the stunning scenery of Exmoor and the Quantock Hills. Or hop on the West Somerset Steam Railway and glide through the glorious Somerset countryside. Wimbleball Reservoir with its watersports and angling is a short drive away, as is the National Trust's imposing Dunster Castle - a dramatic stronghold peeping out of dense woodlands. It makes a fascinating visit, and Dunster is also home to a Visitor Centre with stacks of information about Exmoor National Park.
Perfectly pitched just over a mile from the coast, glamping in Minehead doesn't get much better than this. Known as the Northern Gateway to Exmoor, Minehead's beautiful ribbon of sand offers a classic seaside experience - think picnics, beach games, a promenade lined with shops, sandcastles, the lot.
The town has an attractive working harbour with boat trips and fishing excursions, and even its own Harbour Festival in July. Head back to base from the town centre by following a lovely wooded walk, before winding up the day with a slap-up barbeque and a glass of zingy Somerset cider.
