FAQs

Will my property be covered if I leave it unoccupied for more than 60 days?

At Club Care we know that as campers you like to take extended stays, which is why our Home Insurance can offer Club members up to 180 days unoccupied cover away from home* - at no additional cost!  Our products also offer a number of other features and benefits which have been specifically selected for Club members.

*Whilst this is double the amount of time that most companies can offer, please be aware that this only available with certain insurers.

What cover is available?
We believe in offering high quality cover, to make sure that your campervan is properly protected. We therefore offer two types of cover: fully comprehensive and third party fire and theft.

Comprehensive: Our fully comprehensive Campervan Insurance covers you for claims made by other people (including passengers) for injury to them or damage to their property. This policy also protects your campervan against loss or damage caused by accidental or malicious acts, vandalism, fire, lightning, theft, self-ignition and explosion. We are also able to offer New Campervan Replacement for up to 3 years to Club members.

Third party fire and theft: This protects you against any third party injury or property damage claims made against you as a result of having an accident, and covers you against loss or damage to your campervan if it’s stolen or set on fire.

How do I make a claim?
If you suffer any loss, damage, incident or occurrence that is likely to result in needing to make a claim, it’s vital that you report it to us as soon as possible. However in the event of theft or other malicious incident you must notify the police immediately.

In order for our friendly claims team to sort out your claim as quickly and efficiently as possible, refer to your policy documentation so that the name of your insurer and the policy number applicable are ready to hand. Our claims team will then be able to give advice on the correct claims procedures to follow and what further information or supporting documentation will assist us in handling your claim.

Do I need Club Care’s Home Emergency cover?
Although it’s impossible to predict an emergency, preparation is important. Our optional Home Emergency cover protects your home from a wide range of domestic predicaments such as the breakdown of the main heating system, loss of power supply and plumbing and drainage issues.

I need to accurately estimate the value of my contents. How can I do this?
It’s not unusual for people to seriously undervalue their contents. In fact, it’s quite a regular occurrence.

It’s important to accurately estimate the value of your possessions as they may be ruined in the event of a fire, flood or theft. To do so, arm yourself with a pen, some paper and a calculator and add up the replacement cost of everything that fills each room in your house. Everything needs to be included, from carpets and furniture to ornaments and tools.

Why do I need home insurance?
