Overview
The surroundings are perfect for leisurely strolls on gentle, flat forest trails. Set in the 4,500 acre Savernake Forest, the campsite is ideal for exploring historic Wiltshire, with Stonehenge, Avebury Stone Circle and Salisbury Cathedral all within easy reach. Nearby there is the Westonbirt Arboretum, with its magnificent displays of trees and shrubs, Longleat Safari Park or the National Trust village of Lacock.
Full of ancient registered oak, beech and sweet chestnut trees, this Forestry Commission woodland boasts the largest beech avenue in the UK and has even received SSSI status due to the diversity of wildlife which can be seen there.
