Overview
Elsich Barn Campsite is located in the heart of Shropshire. It is a small, family-run site with spectacular views of the valley. There are also homemade cakes and produce from the farm available. We can also do a farm tour and talk on Sundays if requested in advance. A hot tub is now available.
The surrounding area features the historic town of Ludlow, which plays host to festivals throughout the year, most notably the annual food festival in September. Flounders Folly is within walking distance and from there you can view the Shropshire hills. Craven Arms is home to the Discovery Centre, where you can learn about the local heritage or go walking on their nature trails. There are also many good local pubs and restaurants that can be visited for their food or views.
This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
*Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland
