Visited May Bank holiday 2013. This is not a CS site as there are 7 hard standings + 2 grass pitches, on one of the hard standings there is a huge motorhome on blocks + a storage container. the site is a narrow strip of land with a high hedgerow in front the other side of which is the old railway line which was always very busy so this site is anything but peaceful during the day. There is a small hedge behind the pitches so there are no views. The toilet facilities are the sites best feature except that the ladies door lock was difficult to open and the water was hot enough to scold but no warning signs were displayed. Fishing is available supposedly on 2 lakes but one was closed when we arrived, a fishing match on Sunday took up most of the pitches so the second lake was opened, unfortunately this area is being developed so it was like a building site with heavy plant machinery running all day. currently there are no lakeside pitches as the web site states. The owner appeared oblivious to comments or complaints and dismissed them. if you like fishing, walking or cycling this site may suit you but the caravan pitches are ugly, cramped and noisy. Do not take what you see on their web site as it is completely misleading. We will not return.

We spent six nights here in early November 2011. Waterloo Farm Leisure is a complex of facilities including a series of fishing lakes, a 9 and 18 hole pitch and putta golf course, Bed and Breakfast, two wooden lodges overlooking the lake, a tea room [open 7 days a week], and, of course, a CS site and a tenting field! It does resemble a commercial site to a certain degree though. There are shower and toilet facilities close to the pitches and each hardstanding has it's own electric hook-up and water supply. The site is superbly located for direct access onto the Brampton Valley Way which is the old disused railway line from Market Harborough to Northampton. Also running through the area are the Midshires Way, the Jurassic Way & the Macmillan Way, so there are an excellent range of well signed walks. Foxton Locks are easily accessible by bike by heading into Market Harborough and finding NCN Route 6 which follows the canal tow path to the Locks. It was an 18 mile bike ride with very little exposure to main roads. Sunday roast lunch at the tea rooms is to be highly recommended. Remember to bring a bird feeder and plentiful supplies of seed/fat balls!! We had one in full view from the van window and had to refill the feeders every day! We attracted Greenfinches, blue, great, long tailed & marsh [or were they willow?!] tits, chaffinches, sparrows [common & tree], and frequent visits from a couple of magpies.

this site is very poor for the money charged.

this site is very poor for the money charged. it has more caravans and motor homes on site than the add says, also had children staying on site and supposed to be A,only. the farm 2 fields away must have a function room as sat night the music was going till 2am! so much for quiet getaway! if you enjoy fishing you will like it, 3 pools and they were catching some big fish. also they ask for £20 deposit for keys to WC &showers. we will not be back.
