Overview
You will find us nestled in the rolling orchards and paddocks on the edge of the ancient woodlands of the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Within a mile of the M50, we provide the ideal stop off point for trips to South Wales, the Brecon Beacons and Hay-on-Wye, famous for its interesting bookshops. Alternately, you can relax for a few days and explore local delights: such as the market town of Ross-on-Wye and local centre of Newent which boasts traditional shops and the annual Onion Festival every September. To the north lies the pretty market town of Ledbury with backdrop of the Malvern hills, and renowned Daffodil walks through Kempley Woods. Our location makes us the perfect base for a wide range of outdoor activities including walking, cycling, canoeing, kayaking and fishing. We have extensive grounds for relaxation or privacy with an area for picnicking amongst the traditional apple orchard and landscaped garden. Within walking distance you will find a cafe, community shop, post office, pub with renowned Nepalese restaurant and Baptist church. Pets are welcome for an additional fee, with a designated dog walk area and many local walks.
This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
*Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland
