Our welcome was extremely friendly and helpful.

This review is for Umberleigh

Our welcome was extremely friendly and helpful. The shower and toilet facilities were immaculate, showers were nice and hot and even a warm blower was left on to ensure our comfort if taking a shower later in the evening. Flowers and plants were a nice touch.Fish and chip van arrives at the site once a week, there is an option to pre-order fresh bread and a daily newspaper. The site is quite rural so if its peace and quite you want with amazing pleasant staff then this is the site for you.

My wife & I 80s 7 do not get up early so we like a site with lots of places to visit within a 30-40mile radius, Umberleigh is ideal with Minehead in the north to Bude in the south & lots of places in between. If you want supermarkets & shops Barnstaple is only 7 miles. My wife is disabled so Angie put us on a hard standing near to the facilities but with views over open countryside Unfortunately whilst there I needed a new starter motor for the car, Angie went on the internet & found a car repairer within 2 miles, they fitted a new starter the same morning so I was soon on our way again

Set in a rural area with great countryside views.

This review is for Umberleigh

Set in a rural area with great countryside views. Pitches easy to access and plenty of manoeuvre room and room for an awning. Amenities very clean and well cared for. Wait for showers (only 3) could be a problem in peak times but not for us in April. Big dog walk with plenty of bins. Wardens very helpful in siting the caravan and explaining the things available on site. Liked to information room and book exchange. The visiting chip van was a disappointment though has had run out of most things by the time they had got to the site, the much look forward tofish and chips was reduced to chips! Instructions not to follow sat nav really useful, towing a caravan through the narrow streets of South Molton would have been a nightmare. Easy to reach North Devon coast, 45 mins to Ilfracombe, Lynmouth, Saunton Sands, Woolacombe, Combe Martin and a bit less to Westward Ho! On the doorstep is Exmoor. A visit to the pannier market at South Molton is a must.
