Located just a mile outside the centre of Oxford, the campsite is the perfect base for exploring the magnificent city of dreaming spires. Camping in Oxford doesn't get any better than this.

Walk, cycle or catch the bus (there’s a stop right outside the site) into the city and you’ll find plenty to see and do. Don’t miss the University Museum of Natural History (the most complete remains of any single dodo are here) and the Pitt Rivers and Ashmolean Museums, the latter has 67 galleries to explore. A guided walking tour is the best way to see the University colleges and botanic Garden. There are themed tours too including an Inspector Morse and a Harry Potter Tour. Good location for Oxford city; there's a park and ride nearby.

Good location for Oxford city; there's a park and ride nearby. However, the pitch was muddy and so were nearby pitches, and I didn't think we had had much rain. The toilet block needs replacing, NOT refurbishing; my shower water went out over the floor and not in the drains expected. I've visited a number of sites and this one stands out as being in need of work. I didn't have much involvement with staff, but they seem good. The noise mentioned in other reviews wasn't really much, you would need to be a light sleeper. If there was an alternate site I would use it; especially if it's rained.

My first experience of using my Camper van and was not very impressed with the facilities. There is no way you can dry your feet properly as the shower cubicle was swimming with water 5 minutes after my shower and water was entering from the next cubicle, even after mopping out my cubicle it was impossible to get my feet dry. Maybe wear wellingtons if I ever visit again. Site excellent for visiting Oxford but that is all I can give praise about.
