It was the perfect the site for us to use as a base to get into Oxford and walk the Thames...

This review is for Oxford

It was the perfect the site for us to use as a base to get into Oxford and walk the Thames Path. It had all the facilities we needed as a tent campers, although they were a little dated. However, they all worked fine, so no real complaints. It's location, near to the town meant that it was a little noisy at night (from industrial estate nearby) but the level wasn't too intrusive. On the other hand, the convenience of being able to get buses into Oxford (5 mins!) more than compensated for a little extra noise. The staff were, as you'd expect from a CC site, very efficient, friendly and helpful.

We only stayed one night here en route to catch a Portsmouth ferry.

This review is for Oxford

We only stayed one night here en route to catch a Portsmouth ferry. We were very struck how friendly and helpful the staff were, particularly the manager Tony. He obviously wants everyone to be happy with everything, and couldn’t have been more helpful to us. We didn’t get chance to explore Oxford, but will definitely stay for longer next time. The facilities were very clean and well looked after, even if refurbishment is due. We found access slightly confusing the first time, and went into the bus lane by mistake before turning left (we were expecting a fine for this but it didn’t happen thank goodness!). Not the fault of the camp site I might add!

Feel sorry for the hard working people running the site.

This review is for Oxford

Feel sorry for the hard working people running the site. It must be realy hardwork to try and clean rotten timber in the showers and rusty taps. Drains cant take away shower water and leaves you standing in water. In the site information booklet it warns you may trip the electric on your plot but other plots as well.Happy days
