Overview
Ilex Farm Camp site is situated in beautiful, peaceful and rolling Derbyshire countryside. The campsite is on 3 level terraces offering views across the valley with tree lined slopes to offer privacy and shade. An ideal camp site to stay at if you want to visit and explore the unlimited places of interest and beauty in the Peak District National Park. Plenty of opportunities to visit wonderful country houses as Chatsworth House, Hadden Hall and the historic Bolsover Castle. While the historic market towns of Chesterfield and Bakewell are just 6 and 10 miles away and the spar towns of Matlock Bath and Buxton close to explore, the Peak District has something of interest for everyone. Our site is quiet and peaceful just right to put your feet up and enjoy a well-deserved rest or a leisurely stroll with your dog over plenty of walks.
This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
*Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland
