Normans Bay and glamping holidays go together like beaches and sandcastles; it just feels right. In this part of the world you’ve got beaches galore, from quiet stretches of sand and shingle like the beach opposite Normans Bay, to bustling seaside resorts at Eastbourne and Bexhill.

Head east from Normans Bay and visit the historic town of Hastings, which gave its name to the famous battle of 1066. Visit the quaint Old Town, step onto Hastings Pier, ride the Victorian funicular railway up to Hastings Country Park, and explore the haunting ruins of Hastings Castle.

Glamping in Normans Bay is a springboard for discovery. Pull on your hiking boots and explore the 1066 Country Walk, following in the footsteps of William the Conqueror from Pevensey Bay to the town of Rye. Add the magnificent Herstmonceux Castle to your must-see list: it’s a spectacular medieval attraction with gorgeous gardens, woodland walks and heavenly tea rooms.

The little ones will love Drusillas Park with its wonderful wildlife, whilst kids of all ages will find non-stop entertainment at Eastbourne. Oggle its sheer cliffs, take a boat trip, try your hand at watersports, go rock pooling and fossil-hunting, walk to Birling Gap, ride the miniature steam railway... or simply kick back on the sands. Phew!
