Overview

Established over 35 years, we are a small site on the edge of the National Park, with beautiful countryside, 4 miles from Scarborough, 3 miles from the coast, Open Air Theatre and North Bay. Our campsite currently has electric hook ups, hard standing areas and a toilet/shower facility. 10 minute walk to Scalby village and the local bus route. The village boasts a church, 2 independent pubs serving a range of food, ales and live music sessions, a quality Cafe, beauticians, hairdressers and newsagent. Theres also a vintage phone booth which has been converted to house with a cardiac defibrillation machine. Close by, there are tennis courts, bowling green, Proudfoots supermarket/hardware store and 24-hour garage plus cashpoint, pharmacy and library. We are ideally situated for Dalby Forest, and Whitby is close by. Our mission is to provide, wherever possible, a sustainable, ecofriendly holiday experience. Our toilets use harvested rainwater for flushing, we pave our road and hard standings with reclaimed materials, our Glamping Cow Shed is made from reclaimed wood and our Glamping bottle shed has been created from recycled glass and other materials.

This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.

*Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland
