The rich covering of trees provides a lush backdrop to your stay and with many nooks and crannies to explore on site, you’re bound to find a perfect pitch.

This award-winning site (with a Gold David Bellamy Conservation Award) is very popular with families, groups and young people, so in high-season advanced booking is recommended.

To retain the ‘back to nature’ feel there’s no electricity on the site, but there are three large toilet and shower blocks, as well as a dog shower – so yes, your pet pooch is welcome!

There’s also direct access to an open common at the side of the site, which is perfect for the children to play on and bike hire can be arranged locally. Ranger Activities, at which the family can find out all about the life of the forest and its flora and fauna, take place in the summer months.

Nearby Brockenhurst village has a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants and for days out, local attractions include Furzey Gardens which has a rare plant collection, Longdown Activity Farm, The New Forest Reptile Centre, The New Forest Wildlife Park and the National Motor Museum.
