1-3 March
Scone Palace
Take a day out at Scone Palace near Perth, Scotland, and go antique hunting at a special Galloway Antique Fair being held on the first weekend of this month. There will be the opportunity to browse and bid on a wide range of antiques from around the country at the fair, all within the dramatic setting of the palace, which is worth the visit alone.

Spring Steam Gala
Railway enthusiasts rejoice! The Watercress Line on the Mid Hampshire railway is hosting a three-day spring steam gala to celebrate the end of winter. The event will give visitors the chance to see and ride behind steam engines and locomotives as well as witness the restoration of others not currently operational. Cheltenham Festival 2019
Enjoy the thrill of a day at the races at the annual Cheltenham Festival – the highlight of the jumping season. The four-day event takes place at Cheltenham Racecourse and the famous Ladies Day is on 13 March. Tickets can be obtained online and two of our Club Sites lie within 20 miles of the racecourse, making accommodation cheaper than you might expect

York Literature Festival
Celebrate the written and spoken word with like-minded folk at the York Literature Festival, taking place at multiple venues throughout the city for 17 days this month. As well as appearances from writers and literary experts, there are also several competitions including one for poetry and one for creative writing. See the full programme here.

Marmalade Festival
Dalemain Mansion in Penrith, Cumbria will be ‘going orange’ this month as it hosts the annual Marmalade Festival. The event will encompass market stalls, cookery demonstrations, entertainment, and talks to inspire you to take marmalade to your heart- more than you perhaps already do. The whole town of Penrith will also be going orange with shops creating window displays along the theme. See the festival website for more information.

St Patrick’s Family Day
Fun for all ages will take place at the St Patrick’s Family Day, the final event in a whole festival dedicated to the day itself, (17 March), in Banbridge, Northern Ireland. Families are invited to come down to Solitude Park in the town between 2pm and 4pm to sample the buzzing atmosphere. You can find more details online here.

Leicester Vegan Festival
If you are already vegan, or you’re intrigued by the diet and its positive impacts on your health and the environment, then why not head to Leicester for its biggest vegan festival this month? It takes place in the city’s Athena event venue and the entry fee of £3 means you can visit more than 80 stalls, learn more about vegan recipes and watch cookery demos. Castle Combe Circuit
If performance cars are your thing then you won’t want to miss the Spring Action Day at Castle Combe Circuit in Wiltshire. The event will host more than 2,000 hi-octane vehicles on the track and there will also be huge displays from various owners’ clubs as well as drifting demonstrations, and the opportunity to get your own performance car on the track, subject to availability.
