  • A popular site for families

    Great site for families

Enjoy wonderful Northern Irish hospitality in this beautifully situated campsite in County Down.

Mountains, coast and countryside are all accessible from our beautiful Club campsite at Delamont Country Park, in Northern Ireland.

Our campsite sits adjacent to the stunning Delamont Country Park in a peaceful, rural location. Bordered in part by trees Delamont is a level site offering Club Service Pitches, some now benefiting from the addition of hard standings. There is also a modern washblock and a small site shop.

The country park is ideal for stretching the legs. Walk up the hill to the Strangford Stone and you’ll be rewarded with fantastic views over Strangford Lough to the Mourne Mountains. In addition to the fantastic walking, the park is perfect for family picnics, barbecues and games with specially designated areas. You’ll also find Ireland’s only fresh-air gym, an outdoor adventure playground, miniature railway and heronry. The Lough itself is a birdwatchers paradise – see Brent Geese, Knot and Terns – and enjoy a lough-side walk.

Killyleagh just over a mile from the campsite is a pretty town with its own ‘fairytale’ castle and a selection of shops and restaurants. Belfast is also accessible from the campsite and, for a quieter day out, head to the beautiful Mourne Mountains in the south east or head to the Giant’s Causeway on the north coast in County Antrim.

Book your ferry to Northern Ireland with the Club and save up to 10%.

Please note: There are no grass-only pitches at this campsite so an additional pitch fee applies. However, there is a small tent area with standard pitches, which can be booked by contacting the site.

Worth Noting

There is very limited car parking space for second cars or visits – more parking is available in Delamont Country Park. If you live on the mainland, the Club’s Overseas Travel Service can arrange ferry crossings for this site. All pitches are Club Super Service Pitches with a small tent area with grass only pitches. There is no play area on site however ball games, kite flying and more can be enjoyed in the park next door where free parking is available for campers.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Eat Local

Pheasants' Hill Farm Shop in Downpatrick sells its own locally-reared produce including free range pork, chicken and eggs.

Lovely clean, friendly site. Well maintained.

Lovely clean, friendly site. Well maintained. Absolutely great for our wee dog Eddie with so many beautiful walks just off site. He was not very happy to be going home. Very close to Downpatrick with a large Asda fr groceries. Few minutes to Killyleagh with a good chip shop. Stayed a week in June and returned again for 9 nights in October. All being well shall return next year. Wardens are very friendly and keep everywhere spotless.

This is an excellent site we stayed for a few nights after storm Ali, the wardens had the site spick and span and gave us a warm welcome. Sites are fully serviced with hardstanding space suitable for caravan and awnings. The amenities block is well kept and clean, with full facilities. Set within the Delamont Estate there are plenty of walks available, direct from the site with facilities for children's play and a coffee shop. For those who enjoy dining out there are numerous quality restaurants in the area (Smuggler's Table, Balloo House to name a few) and Downpatrick is only a short Drive away for History Buffs.

We live about an hour from site and as regular visitors we always receive a warm welcome. Paul & Gill do wonderful job keeping facilities clean and tidy, along with their assistants during high season.Sites are well maintained(Gill loves to brush!) with lots of flowers bring much colour to site. Lovely walks in Delamont and not too far to drive to local attractions for any visitors. Highly recommend a stay here. Well done to the site team.
