Bishop's Stortford College Festival of Literature
Head down to Hertfordshire and celebrate a love of words at the annual Bishop’s Stortford College Festival of Literature. This year represents the festival’s 10th anniversary and there will be 14 days of events and appearances from top writers including Jackie Morris, David Starkey and Saira Hamilton. Birmingham Swing Festival
A weekend of swing dance workshops, late-night parties, live bands and competitions awaits you at the annual Birmingham Swing Festival this month. The dance workshops welcome people of all levels of ability and experience and events for the festival will take place at venues around Birmingham including Aston University and the Doug Ellis Woodcock Sports Centre. Torchlight tour
Explore the fascinating grounds of Brooklands Museum in Surrey as night falls on a special guided torchlight tour. An expert guide will lead you through the Motoring Village, Stratosphere Chamber, Test Hill and the Members’ Banking as you get a different view of them by night. Tour of Lovell Telescope
Take your little ones on a fascinating guided tour of the Grade 1-listed Lovell Telescope near Macclesfield during the February half term. Walking tours will be taking place twice a day throughout the week and last about 45 minutes. They are also weatherproof as they will take place indoors if it’s wet.

Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show
Join more than 400 exhibitors from across the UK and Europe at one of the largest showcases of caravans, tents, motorhomes and campervans in the UK at the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show this month. Taking place at the NEC in Birmingham the show has attractions that include celebrity speakers, live demonstrations and the Club-run towing experience – plus new for this year a camping zone. Members are welcome to come and spend some time on the Club stand and enjoy free hot drinks and chat to our volunteers about Club matters. Get member exclusive discounted tickets here. Derby CAMRA Winter Ale Festival
Derby’s historic Roundhouse hosts the 15th annual Derby CAMRA Winter Ale Festival this month, with more than 400 cask ales, ciders, perries, bottled world beers and meads to sample. There will also be a craft keg bar and gin bar, which are new additions for this 2019 edition.
As well as the delicious brews, entertainment at the festival includes Elvis impersonators and modern rock bands.

Yorvik Viking Festival
Head to York this month for the largest celebration of its kind in Europe at the Jorvik Viking Festival. Celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, the festival incorporates living history performances, walks, talks and tours of the Jorvik Viking Museum in the city centre – there is bound to be something for all the family to enjoy and learn.

Keswick Film Festival
Enjoy a fantastic programme of thought-provoking and awe-inspiring films at the 20th anniversary edition of the Keswick Film Festival. There will be films from directors including Lászlo Nemes, Sebastián Lelio, Carl Hunter and Peter Farrelly, and you can buy passes to enjoy the whole event online. Most events take place at the Theatre by the Lake, which is a stunning venue in the heart of the Cumbrian town.
