We used Delamere as an overnight stop heading north, probably a bit too far off the M6 after a long journey but easy to find. A friendly welcome and a good pitch with easy access to the forest for our dog, thought it looked great for families with plenty to do locally plus the train service next door. A smallish site and quiet out of season with just hardstandings in use.

We got our usual warm welcome from Jim and Brenda and later Paul and Karen. It is so nice to be familiar with the site and know where everything is with regards to walks in the forest etc. On our "day off" from visiting relatives we generally go on a long walk through the Forest, so the maps guides come in useful as each time we come we turn a different way from the dog walk. Hopefully the weather continues to be kind to us for our visit in October as we can make the most of the outdoors. Thanks again guys and see you soon

From the very friendly welcome to the helpful hints and patient answers to newbie questions, the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. spent 2 peaceful nights - a perfect intro to motorhoming. Lovely walk to and around Delamere Forest ( recommend climbing to the viewpoint). Happened across the (dog friendly) 'Carriers Arms' in Hatchmere after walking through the forest Sat evening. Easy walk back along the road. Will definitely be coming back.

Very helpful and freindly managers. Phoned before arrived no jockey wheel. Gave us easy pitch to mounover onto. Allowed us to pitch early. Then gave number mobile mechanic to sort jockey wheel out. He's there in an hour. Fixed it and gave us directions caravan servicing. Needed new handle. All sorted by next day.
