Brenda and Jim there to greet us with a very warm welcome, they couldn't do more to help, was only our second trip out in our van Jim even lent us a hammer to fix up our awning. This is a fabulous site and so much to do, bike rides in the forest, and the train station is literally next door to visit Chester or Manchester. We loved it here very clean and organised and we will definitely be back.

We visited Delamere Forest Site early February and we've had an excellent weekend. The wardens were friendly and helpful the pitches are of a decent size the toilets and showers were spotless and nice and warm in this winter weather! The site has direct access to the forest which is absolutely fantastic for walking there's also a go ape in the forest for the more adventurous! Delamere train station is situated right next door to the site if you fancy a trip into Chester or Manchester. The nearest pubs within walking distance are The Carriers Inn which is about 1 mile to the left when exiting the site or the Vale Royal Abbey Arms which is about a mile and a quarter to right when exiting the site both give 10% discount for CCC members on food (Vale Royal Abbey Arms includes drinks in the discount) Delamere Forest Visitors centre is worth a visit nice cafe, clean toilets and bike and Segway hire. All in all this site is excellently sited if you want to venture out or just enjoy the peace and tranquility of this beautiful area.

Great for walks in Delamere Forest directly from the site but also very accessible for local towns and cities. The wardens were very welcoming and helpful and tried to very hard to resolve an issue with one of the internet masts. Unfortunately this remained a problem (and there were also problems when we stayed in May), but it won't put us off from returning.

We used Delamere as an overnight stop heading north, probably a bit too far off the M6 after a long journey but easy to find. A friendly welcome and a good pitch with easy access to the forest for our dog, thought it looked great for families with plenty to do locally plus the train service next door. A smallish site and quiet out of season with just hardstandings in use.
