We were greeted by helpful and friendly staff who booked us in and showed us to a pitch. Although in the middle of town and near to Heathrow and busy roads, you feel straight away as if you could easily be in the middle of the countryside. The site was peaceful and relaxing, in an attractive setting next to the river Thames. Lots to do for days out. Theme parks nearby for families and days out in London. We enjoyed a lovely walk 5 minutes walk from the site along the Thames footpath and a couple of car trips to the lake at Virginia Water, another haven of peace with lovely walks in the middle of a busy built up area. A very well run site thanks to friendly and hardworking wardens.

We arrived on a Thursday afternoon with our awning cassette lying on the floor of our motorhome after it bounced off its attachments caused through hitting a big pothole a few miles from the site. Our initial thought was that we would need to find a way of disposing of the broken awning, however Chris the lovely site manager persuaded us that it could be repaired. He then proceeded to get out his tool kit and with the assistance of his colleague Mike over an hour into the evening managed to reattach the awning cassette back on to our motorhome in a stronger way than it had been previously. So a big thank you to Chris for turning a potential disappointment into a positive experience.
