Overview
From its manicured hedgerows and perfect pitches, to the rugged crags of the Suffolk coast, Kessingland glamping holidays are rich in contrasting landscapes. It's nestled in a prime spot just over a mile from Kessingland Beach, with its sumptuous sands and twinkling shores. Clamber up onto the dunes and keep an eagle eye out for seals - they're often spotted in this picturesque corner of Suffolk.
Glamping at Kessingland takes the strain out of camping, with luxury furnished tents, real beds, a dining area and more. After a hard day on the beach, enjoy a relaxing evening on your own private terrace. On top of that, Kessingland campsite is well-equipped with washing facilities, toilets, a family shower room and a children's play area. We've reserved a luxury retreat especially for you.
Kessingland Beach is the top draw for guests at our Kessingland glamping site. Just over a mile and a half away, this huge expanse of sand and shingle runs into Benacre nature reserve - a cracking spot that's famous for sightings of migrating birds, particularly in the spring. There's also a RSBP reserve at Minsmere that's well worth a visit.
For a really wild adventure, you'll find Africa Alive Wildlife Park right next to Kessingland campsite. This fantastic 100-acre safari park is home to more than 80 species of African animals - from thundering white rhinos and cheetahs to monkeys, lemurs and curious zebras. This superb park is so close you can walk to it and, come nightfall, you'd be forgiven for thinking you're on safari out in the wilds of Africa as you drift off to sleep under your snug canvas.
Follow the coast north of Kessingland to lovely Lowestoft, the most easterly town in England. This traditional seaside resort boasts an award-winning beach, beautiful soft silky sands, family amusements and a flamboyant array of colourful beach huts.
A 20-minute drive south of Kessingland brings you to Southwold - another classic seaside gem with a working lighthouse, an award-winning pier, museum and a busy harbour. Southwold is also the home of Adnams Brewery, where you can take a tour of the brewery to discover how Adnams create their award-winning beers and spirits. You can even make your very own gin!
Beach and beer aside, there's plenty more to see and do within an easy drive of Kessingland campsite. A popular attraction is Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens near Great Yarmouth, about an hour's drive from the campsite. Beyond the gorgeous gardens is a wild animal reserve with big cats, pandas and primates. Don't miss the hair-raising treetop walk offering a fantastic birds' eye view of the tiger enclosure below.
