Overview

By The Wood is nestled between Church Pulverbatch and Wrentnall on the Shropshire Way and Marches Way walks. An ideal location if you enjoy exploring local country walks, bird watching, or sitting back, unwinding in the peaceful countryside surrounded by wildlife. Maybe youll be inspired to paint, or write novels and poems as did our local author Mary Webb! If you prefer to be out and about though, theres lots to keep you entertained! We are a newly established site where you can enjoy peace and quiet. There are plenty of public houses nearby, the Red Lion 0.6 of a mile and the White Horse 0.9 of a mile is easy walking distance. Should you feel energetic, then you could walk to the Red Lion pub for lunch and walk back. We have. Alternatively it is a 10 mile walk over the Long Mynd to Cardingmill Valley at Church Stretton. If sitting quietly is more your thing, relax on a bench in our young wood. We have no close neighbours except the sheep, hens and ducks. You can even purchase eggs for breakfast. Should you have to rely on broadband, we have up to 5mb available anywhere on the site.
Please contact the campsite directly if you have any questions about opening dates, facilities or additional measures at this campsite.

This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
