Visit rural Shropshire and take a tour through the first authentic Roman villa built in Britain for 1600 years.

Fabricated adjacent to the Roman ruins at Wroxeter in Shropshire, it was the subject of a Channel 4 television documentary about experimental archaeology.

The project was backed by English Heritage and, on the whole, only traditional Roman construction methods and tools were used.
