Our Luss Club campsite is located on the western shore of the beautiful Loch Lomond at the southern end of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Its stunning views across the Loch and the park make it one of the Club’s most beautiful sites.

Our site is nestled in the conservation village of Luss which is a tourist attraction in its own right with a sandy beach, pier and regular boat tours. Picture perfect Luss was also the location of long running Scottish soap “Take the High Road” and has an excellent pubs, eateries and local shops.

Base yourself at this 90-pitch campsite and you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to things to do. Walking and cycling are possible direct from the site and boat launching is possible for those with small non-motorised craft. For the more adventurous there are also hill walking and canyoning opportunities. While Loch Lomond itself is popular for canoeing, water skiing, bathing and picnicking, or simply sitting back and soaking up the atmosphere.

A bus stop just 500m from the site, and train station in nearby Balloch make a day trip to Glasgow possible from Luss. For family days out there is Balloch Castle Country Park and the Loch Lomond Sea Life Aquarium, Balloch or take a boat trip to Inchcailloch, one of the Loch’s islands with its own nature reserve.

This Luss site, was memorable for all the right reasons and has a stunning on the shores of Loch Lomond. I was given a tent pitch, to launch my touring kayak, next to a small slipway. Perfect to explore the Islands on the Loch. The staff were so friendly and helpful throughout ; Thank you Cath, Carol and Steve ! I joined the CC Club on arrival because of this beautiful site and the reception I received. There's good food and drink in the village centre as well as speed boat trips on the Loch and also regular boat shuttles to other villages around Loch. Tickets can be paid for, on the boats. It's possible to hire canoes, sit-on-tops and mountain bikes from the main car park and beach area. The camp site was very clean and well organised. The check in process was easy (1.00pm onwards). The showers were free with plenty of hot water. There are rabbits roaming the site, which adds to it's charm, as well as ducks on the shoreline. There is a small shop at reception which has a good range of basic supplies. Wifi is available for a small cost. The Lomond Shores retail area is just 15 minutes south. This site and the village of a Luss are on a link road, off the main A82. A small amount of traffic noise does carry to the site, but honestly, it's negligible against the quality and benefits that this site has to offer ! The village centre is literally, only few minutes walk from the camp site. I ate and drank in the Loch Lomond Arms, in the village. A great range of spirits as well as local beers. The food and service are excellent, both in the evening and for full breakfasts or rolls. If you eat here in the daytime, they have their own car park. Avoid buying breakfast rolls in the Luss Village Shop, next to the car park, as they were rude and impatient. I would highly recommend this site and will definitely return soon, for more camping and kayaking !

We booked well on advance as this is a popular site in one of the most picturesque parts of Scotland. Considering this was early July we had to pay very nearly 30 per night for two people! The site is well maintained and staff friendly and helpful. However: - no motorhome grey waste dumping area ("due to levels") ... good job we gave a waste hog, many don't. - no waste bins inside camping area - very poor toilet blocks (in men's only 2 WCs, 2 showers, no private washbasins in each of 2 blocks). Considering the site has 90 motorhome/caravan pitches, takes dozens of tents and charges top end prices this is VERY poor! Sorry, won't be back.

Stopped for 2 nights here and were delighted to get a spot overlooking Loch Lomond, just a few steps down to a stony beach, through the trees. Enjoyed watching the bats there at dusk! Good level pitch. All facilities clean and good. Walked into Luss which had too many tourists for my liking, but it was very quiet in the evening. Cycled to Tarbet one morning. Not much going on there but found a lovely little cafe away from the loch with the best cakes. Made it back just before Storm Hector, and pretty much stayed in the motorhome until it was time to leave. The trees which had been so welcome in the sun were banging on the roof all night. Everyone seemed to survive, even the canvas campers! Good, well-spaced out site, but I imagine it may be noisy on the road side.

We made an overnight stop at Luss four years to the day since our previous visit. The good things on this occasion were the welcome, the surroundings, Luss village and the relaxed atmosphere. The bad things were the midges (be prepared with repellent) and the shower blocks which haven't been updated since my last visit. All the cleaning in the world is not going to make a silk purse out of a sows ear. On a serious note the shower trays are lethal when wet and combined with soap/shampoo etc. I almost slipped over and there is nothing to grab except the hot plumbing pipe or the rickety plastic tray on the wall which holds all your bits and pieces. I am not disabled but I have had recent surgery and a fall would have been disasterous. At the very least please install a grab rail in all the shower cubicles. It won't cost much. I challenge you for the safety of all CCC Members.
