Our Luss Club campsite is located on the western shore of the beautiful Loch Lomond at the southern end of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Its stunning views across the Loch and the park make it one of the Club’s most beautiful sites.

Our site is nestled in the conservation village of Luss which is a tourist attraction in its own right with a sandy beach, pier and regular boat tours. Picture perfect Luss was also the location of long running Scottish soap “Take the High Road” and has an excellent pubs, eateries and local shops.

Base yourself at this 90-pitch campsite and you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to things to do. Walking and cycling are possible direct from the site and boat launching is possible for those with small non-motorised craft. For the more adventurous there are also hill walking and canyoning opportunities. While Loch Lomond itself is popular for canoeing, water skiing, bathing and picnicking, or simply sitting back and soaking up the atmosphere.

A bus stop just 500m from the site, and train station in nearby Balloch make a day trip to Glasgow possible from Luss. For family days out there is Balloch Castle Country Park and the Loch Lomond Sea Life Aquarium, Balloch or take a boat trip to Inchcailloch, one of the Loch’s islands with its own nature reserve.

This is a nice site which is sadly spoiled by its location next to a main road and a busy hotel. Our group was passing though on our way to Skye and stopped here to break up the journey. Staff were friendly, approachable, and knowledgable about the local area. The facilities are clean, but there is only two toilets and two showers. This maybe as the site is progressing from a caravan and motohome only site to taking in tents as well? If you are in a caravan, the road noise would be manageable, however for a tent, it may drive you crazy after a few days. Finally the hotel! Im writing this after 11pm and Im being treated to a wonderful earful of loud party music, While I can assume this doesnt happen every night, be aware that this can happen, and may spoil your enjoyment and sleep!

Having read a lot of the other reviews we arrived with just a little trepidation.

Having read a lot of the other reviews we arrived with just a little trepidation. However our stay couldn't have been nicer. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, the location is great. Yes, the toilet/shower block could be modernised a bit but the place was spotless and everything in working order. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again.
