Overview
Our campsite is located in a peaceful rural setting on the edge of the Lake District with fantastic views of Blencathra and the Northern Fells. Ullswater, Keswick, Penrith, The Eden Valley and Carlisle are just short drives away so there is plenty to see and do.
Whether you fancy a gentle stroll or a full day of hiking, there is a walk to suit all abilities with superb access to the Northern Fells and diverse footpaths. There are numerous cycle routes to choose from in the area including the Coast to Coast route and plenty of lakes to enjoy a variety of water sports. After a busy day exploring, youll be spoilt for choice for cosy pubs in the local area.
This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
*Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland
