This is a wonderful small site in a beautiful location - an open field on the farm but looking onto the forest. It has all that we needed in terms of facilities - water, disposal and hook up and the site is mostly flat, and whilst it wasnt particularly wet when we were there the ground seemed firm and well drained ( certainly at the top end where we were). There is a toilet block (we didnt use it). Access is through the farm on firm road (chips not tarmac) and going on and off site as we did was straightforward. (As a small Certified Site we dont feel its fair to mark down for facilities we werent expecting.) If you like the countryside and wildlife there is plenty to see - walking or cycling in the forest - Forestry Commission with good access. We had a warm and friendly welcome and a relaxing and enjoyable stay - and are certainly planning to return to experience this lovely area at different seasons.

Lovely and peaceful site right on the edge of the King's Forest in Suffolk.

Lovely and peaceful site right on the edge of the King's Forest in Suffolk. We spent almost a whole week here over the August bank holiday and there were only a couple of other units there! The site is simple and facilities are basic (hook up and water, simple toilet block and chemical disposal), but as we were in a caravan it didn't matter at all. It had everything we needed. The best thing about this site is the wildlife. There is a resident barn owl in one of the farm buildings who hunts every evening over the grassland surrounding the site. It's amazing to watch and hear the owl calling. We also heard tawny and we think long eared owls too. There are also deer that occasionally graze in the grassland. My parents live in Bury St Edmunds, and this is the perfect place to stay when visiting them. We will definitely be returning. Great for getting to lots of places of interest too: West Stow Anglo Saxon village Thetford Forest Grimes Graves only 30 minutes from Cambridge

Super CS site, our 3rd visit and each time stay a bit longer.

Super CS site, our 3rd visit and each time stay a bit longer. Great walks from the door into The Kings Forest. Love this site, it's access to miles of walks on your doorstep and feels secluded and remote even though only a few miles from Bury St Edmunds or Thetford. Shh don't tell everyone about it - perfect peace and relaxation. Mike has got it right, friendly but laid back and not intrusive. Basic but adequate facilities which is fine if you have your own. It's definitely on our favourites list.

Superb little site - basic facilities but that's what the beauty is.

Superb little site - basic facilities but that's what the beauty is. Really peaceful and so close to the forest walks/rides. fenced in so ok This is a superb little site that is neatly kept - the approach through the farm buildings was Perry and rustic but all is kept tidy - first impression counts and was a good one. There is nothing to do directly on the site other than enjoy this fact which we loved; so peaceful. The forest is easy to get into and walk/cycle for miles and miles. The site is neatly fenced in to keep foxes out I guess but is good to keep the kids in if needed. We stayed in a caravan which has everything on board so no shower block was no issue for us but may be if you didn't have this feature in your outfit. There is a small toilet block which is basic but clean and well kept - ideal. The water pressure from the drinking water tap is excellent...... Just 1 minute to fill a 40 litre aqua roll - not sure if this is chance or by design, but I have been to sites where this takes 6 mins...... In summary we love this little site and will visit again. It is about 10 mins into Bury St Edmunds if you need to visit there but could be so much further out such is the peaceful nature of this site.
