Overview

Great site for exploring the pretty Cotswolds towns and their attractions.

Amid the honey-coloured villages of the Cotswolds is where you’ll find the Club’s charming Chipping Norton campsite. Tucked away off the beaten track, this campsite offers a mix of level and sloping pitches, surrounded by trees and dry stone walls.

If it’s peace and tranquillity you are after, this site delivers in spades. But it would a shame not to venture off site and explore the beauty of the Cotswolds. Hop in your car or catch the bus right outside the site and discover the charms of Chipping Norton itself, Chadlington, Charbury and Witney for starters.

No stay at Chipping Norton campsite should be without a visit to Stow on the Wold, Bourton-on-the- Water and Batsford. As well as brimming with charm, they boast an eclectic mix of family attractions including Birdland and a model village in Bourton. Batsford Arboretum and Hidcote Manor are also worth visiting.

If you'd like to go glamping then Chipping Norton Ready Camp is the perfect choice. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Worth Noting

Some pitches are sloping so chocks will be required. The site has full recycling facilities. This site has no Motorhome Service Area.

An exceptionally well maintained site, and excellent toilet/ shower facilities, all exceptionally clean, and maintained throughout the day to a very high standard. We received a very warm and friendly welcome on arrival, and throughout our stay all staff were very friendly and helpful. There are many Towns and villages, of interest all delightful. A wonderful campsite in a charming area of England.

Visited the site for the first time during the very very hot weather. Site was lovely although part of the site where we were pitched was right by a very busy road. I would stay again if I knew I wasnt going to hear the traffic especially in a tent. Staff were really helpful and friendly. On the Friday night there was a pizza company making beautiful pizzas on site. Great idea and not expensive. Would recommend the site but just be aware of traffic noise

We are touring a number of club sites we have not visited before.

This review is for Chipping Norton

We are touring a number of club sites we have not visited before. To the present we have stayed on some lovely sites to which we will return for longer stays. However we will not be returning to Chipping Norton. The staff made us welcome and the showers, toilets etc scrupulously clean, but the site is next to a very busy road which is extremely noisy. The site looks as though it is in need of some TLC. Long grass everywhere is in need of attention and the grass around the pitches needs some care. Granted it was in a very hot spell but this had nothing to do with the state of the grass. The site needs a really good tidy up. A warning about the road should be in the information.
