Overview
The site is ¾ acre set in a 5-acre meadow, with a pond in the middle. It is on top of a hill overlooking Cambridgeshire countryside including Duxford war museum. Spitfires and other planes are often seen flying. The site is extremely peaceful and it makes you want to relax and enjoy the amazing views. We are close to Cambridge and the market town of Saffron Walden, with Audley End House. There are also many other local attractions and plenty of footpaths for walks.
The Red Cow the local pub is highly recommended within walking distance, but bring a torch, as there are no streetlights. Great for star gazing.
We provide local produce including delicious home-made cakes, ask for our breakfast box list.
If you have an occasion that you would like to celebrate with family and friends while camping, let us know and we will see if we can block book the site for you.
We are a working farm so there will be tractors in and out of the yard, in the summer you may get the chance to see the combine.
Our aim is for you to have a peaceful relaxing stay in our “field of dreams”. Looking forward to meeting you.
This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
*Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland
