Overview

Cotswolds glamping: those two little words are music to the ears of anyone who loves the great outdoors, yet equally fond of creature comforts.

Sitting lakeside near Tewkesbury in rural Gloucestershire, Winchcombe is a charming campsite that's surrounded by stunning Cotswolds scenery.

Naturally, it comes dressed to the nines with modern amenities - we're talking hot showers, clean toilets, washing machines, a recreation hall, a kids' play area, even an on-site shop. Hey, at Ready Camp we don't do things by halves! Come and experience glamping in the Cotswolds, Ready Camp style, and we'll make your heart sing.

Our Winchcombe site offers a cracking base if you fancy glamping near Cheltenham or glamping near Tewkesbury. The pretty village of Alderton is an easy walk away, with a rich heritage and a handful of amenities including a pub, a Post Office, a shop and a petrol station.

Winchcombe itself is a graceful town a little under 4 miles away, boasting a rich combination of characterful pubs, restaurants, tearooms and shops - all clad in beautiful honey-coloured Cotswold stone.

Ready to explore? Take to your heels and hop onto the Winchcombe Way. It's a cracking 42-mile walking trail that fans out from Winchcombe in a figure-of-eight pattern, bypassing your glamping digs near Alderton on the way. If you've got the kids in tow, Cotswolds Wildlife Park or Sudeley Castle ticks all the right boxes for a grand day out.

Sudeley Castle is an easy 10-minute drive from Winchcombe Club Site and boasts its own Adventure Playground, a zip wire and a 10-piece assault course. It's rich in heritage too; many famous Royal names have passed through its gardens and Katherine Parr, Henry VIII's sixth wife, is buried in the grounds.

Other must-see attractions include the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway at Toddington, Cotswold Farm Park, Cheltenham Racecourse, and the peaceful ruins of Hailes Abbey.

Ready Camp: What facilities are inside the tent?

Our Ready Camp tents comprise of two seperate bedrooms & an open plan living/dining area, it oozes with little bits of camping luxury including a double bed (yes a real bed with a real mattress!) triple bunk bed (double with a single on top) and a single stow away bed.

A kitchen area with a fridge, microwave and hob, along with basic cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery.

There are also lights, a comfy settee and a heater to keep you cosy.

Not forgetting to mention a dining table where you can wine and dine to your hearts content… feel free to bring your table onto your decking and enjoy your grub alfresco style.

And don't worry, although we don't have toilet, shower or dishwashing areas in the tent, you can find these facilities on the campsite.

We’ve even included a torch – for the midnight toilet trips, or just to make funny shadows on the tent!
