These country shows are some of this year's most popular outdoor events. For anyone who loves the countryside, agricultural shows bring together all the best bits, from craft stalls and local food and drink to show jumping and live entertainment.
We’ve listed the best fairs near our campsites below, but you’ll find a country show near you no matter where you are in the UK. Remember to dress for the weather and prepare to walk across fields with sturdy and comfortable walking boots.
Royal Lancashire Agricultural Show
When: 19th – 21st July 2024
Where: Preston, Lancashire
Nearest campsite: Clitheroe Club Site
Held on the grounds of Salesbury Hall Estate, the Royal Lancashire Agricultural Show promises three days of action-packed family entertainment. Watch majestic horses show jump, say hi to hundreds of animals, including giant tortoises, explore the military village or children's village, hop on a vintage tractor ride or have a go at beekeeping.
Royal Three Counties Show
When: 14th – 16th June 2024
Where: Malvern, Worcestershire

Royal Welsh Show
When: 22nd – 25th July 2024
Where: Llanelwedd, Powys

Entrants to the Royal Welsh Show’s equine and livestock competitions travel from across the UK to be featured in the pinnacle country show. Everyone will find something to enjoy at the show, with shopping galore, crafts, horticultural exhibits, and a huge entertainment line-up.
Devon County Show
When: 16th – 18th May 2024
Where: Westpoint Arena, Devon

Exeter’s annual agricultural show makes a great trip for the whole family. Sample the best local food, get up close and personal with over 2,000 animals, test your craft skills and enter competitions, or simply spoil yourself with a bit of shopping.
Staffordshire County Show
When: 29th and 30th May 2024
Where: Staffordshire County Showground, Staffordshire

Get ready for two days of non-stop fun. Get the chance to see JCB dancing diggers, show jumping, the Parade of Hounds, Mounted Games Association and the grand parade of livestock. Get involved in the competitions, eat delicious food and most importantly, have a fab time!
Pembrokeshire County Show
When: 14th and 15th August 2024
Where: Pembrokeshire County Showground, Pembrokeshire

Chatsworth Country Fair
When: 30th August – 1st September 2024
Where: Chatsworth Park in the heart of the Peak District, Derbyshire

Held in its 1000-acre parkland, Chatsworth House hosts one of the most spectacular country fairs in the UK. Throughout the three days, you can expect family-friendly entertainment in the Grand Ring, a nostalgic vintage fun fair, cooking masterclasses, celebrity guests and much more.
Sandringham Game and Country Fair
When: 7th and 8th September 2024
Where: Sandringham Estate, Norfolk

Wiltshire Game and Country Fair
When: 10th and 11th August 2024
Where: Bowood House, Wiltshire

Bowood House hosts the Wiltshire Game and Country Fair event annually. A family funfair, falconry, pottery, clay shooting, chainsaw carving, and dog shows are just a sample of the entertainment to expect. An array of stalls selling clothes, food and gifts will also be available.
Royal Highland Show
When: 20th – 23rd June 2024

With the founding charity, The Royal Highland & Agricultural Society of Scotland, celebrating its 240th anniversary, expect everything at the Royal Highland Show to be bigger and better than before. You’ll find the very best of food, farming, and rural life. With something for everyone, this is one of the biggest country events on the Scottish calendar. There’ll be jam-packed days of non-stop entertainment, shows and shopping. You might even spot some famous (and royal) faces in the crowd.
Royal Cornwall Show

Great Yorkshire Show
When: 9th – 12th July 2024
Where: Railway Road Great Yorkshire, North Yorkshire

One of the biggest agricultural shows in the UK, the Great Yorkshire Show, has plenty planned for this year’s event. Show jumping, star performers, livestock competitions, a food hall, and much more can be expected. This country show is the best blend of farming, food and the beautiful countryside.
Northumberland County Show
When: Saturday 25th May 2024
Where: Bywell, Northumberland

Attend the Northumberland County Show for the perfect day out celebrating agriculture, farming, and food, as well as Northumberland’s local culture and heritage. There are over 300 trade stands to explore, including a recreation of a knights' tournament from the 13th century, a vintage tractor parade, live wrestling, a dog scurry, and more.
