Overview
Jemmadale campsite in Wiltshire is a beautiful, secluded dog friendly campsite located on the border of Christian Malford just 10 mins away from Junction 17 of the M4.
The Great Western railway line runs through the campsite, and we regularly see steam trains pass by. We also have the Wilts and Berks canal a few hundred yards away! This is an area of outstanding natural beauty; it’s position makes it ideal for exploring with lots of great walking areas.
We have lovely views extending over the rolling countryside with a tranquil walk along the Canal and quiet roads for cycling. It’s a short walk to the village of Christian Malford and here you’ll find The Rising Sun pub serving home-cooked food and Local shop with Post office and camping gas.
Within walking distance there is.
The Loaf Shack Bakery at the Local shop on a Friday.
Foxham Inn pub- 1 mile from the campsite
The Rising Sun pub- less than 1 mile from site
The Wellesley Arms
Best Ever Brownie company and cafe– highly recommended for fried breakfast
Local attractions include Lane house Alpaca walking in the next village, Atwell Car Museum,
Lyneham Reme Museum and Bowood House and Gardens.
This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
*Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland
