Overview
We are a small family run site located in the beautiful area of Staffordshire Moorlands just on the edge of Churnet Valley, where you can visit local steam railways, Consall nature reserve and the stunning Plumicorn restaurant for lunch or dinner taking in the beautiful gardens. For the shoppers we are 6 miles from Hanley in one direction and 6 Miles from Leek in the other direction with Cheadle just 4 miles away with the stunning pugin’s gem. Within a 10 miles radius there is Alton Towers theme park or Trentham Gardens shopping center or even the famous monkey forest park.
With our beautiful panoramic views, we look over Churnet valley. If you awake early enough to catch the magnificent sunrises, they are truly spectacular. Our visitors have often seen wildlife like Barn owls, Red Kite, Buzzards, Lap wings and even local deer. We also have sheep and chickens on site with their young ones at foot during certain times of the year.
We have a shower & toilet facility along with pot wash with hot water. A recycling area for your waste along with an elsan point and fresh water. We live on site should you need any assistance.
This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
*Tents are not permitted on some CS sites in Scotland.
