An established site, where nature is encouraged: wild orchids grow by the natural pond and a resident owl family (chicks included) can often be spotted amongst the trees (much to the annoyance of the House Martins). Colemere, Ellesmere, Newtonmere and Blakemere are in walking, cycling or kayaking distance and the nearby towns of Chester and Shrewsbury offer a glimpse into our ancient past. Local shops are situated in Ellesmere, around 3 miles away. Chirk Castle, Powys Castle and Erdigg are also worth a visit… if you can manage to tear yourself away!
