Sandringham Club campsite is in a delightfully secluded spot, within the grounds of the Royal Estate in Norfolk.

Campers will love the tranquillity offered by this woodland site where many pitches are set among trees. Away from the site, nature and RSPB reserves, as well as sandy beaches including Hunstanton and Brancaster will keep all family members entertained.

You won’t have to venture to far from your unit to find things to do at this Club Site. The Sandringham Estate, the country retreat of Her Majesty The Queen, has more than 60 acres of gardens and 600 acres of woodland and heath – over a quarter of which make up the country park which is open to the public. There’s also a visitor centre, a restaurant and a museum of royal memorabilia and vehicles.

Quiet roads and forest tracks around the site are ideal for walkers and dog walkers. Cyclists too can enjoy the quiet roads and Norfolk Coast Cycleway which passes the site.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Worth Noting

Food, campers’ essentials and gas available from the shop in site reception. The site is now fully digital and TV reception is good.

Seasonal Canine Illness

The Animal Health Trust (AHT) advises dog owners to be vigilant when walking their pets in any woodland, especially between the months of August and November, and recommend you seek immediate veterinary advice should you be at all concerned about the health of your dog. You’ll find more information about Seasonal Canine Illness on the Animal Health Trust website.

Eat Local

The Sandringham Visitor Centre sells produce from the Royal Estate, including apple juice, pies and preserves. Farmers' markets are held at Snettisham and on Sandringham Estate. Well stocked shop available on site.

First ever visit to a CCC site and it wasn't a great experience.

First ever visit to a CCC site and it wasn't a great experience. Can't understand all the high ratings. On arrival we were rushed through check in as wardens were more concerned with the other units that were arriving. First rule of customer service is to serve the customer in front of you not the one behind. We were given limited information about the site (a piece of A4) and not even a site plan. We were escorted to the pitches and we did eventually settle on a nice pitch but the site roads are very narrow meaning you have to use a lot of the verges and other pitches to get your caravan on. When I asked about water points the response was 'I think they are over there somewhere'. Not good. Pitch was a decent size as we had a grass area behind. The hardstanding though was only just big enough for caravan and awning. The hardstanding though was the worst I've experienced. Rock pegs were not staying in and it's the first time I have ever had to use grass pegs on hardstanding. Shower blocks were the most dated I've experienced and are in dire need of updating. There's a sign that says you need to wait for 5mins for hot water to flow first thing in the morning. Can't be hard to fit some electric power showers. Only used block 3 so assuming the other two are similar. We took our dog and were aware of SCI but after only three walks on the designated site dog walk (nowhere else), she was seriously ill and needed emergency vet care. When I asked at reception for a local vet they didn't have any details to hand so they Googled it. I could have done that but knowing that SCI is present in the area I would have expected them to have vets details available. Ultimately, she had to be admitted so did put a dampener on the holiday but has now recovered. For an extra 5 per night we could have gone to a 5* private site in the area with large fully serviced pitches and wish we had done so. Not a very good first experience of a CCC site and puts us off going to any others.

FOR: Great site, bit like camping in the forest, loads of space, forest walks from site, 20 minute walk to Sandringham house / cafe, Hunstanton great place for kids, not far away, staff ok, good all round site. AGAINST: I found the showers pathetic, i'm really surprissed no one else has mentioned them, there are signs of dog illness after walking in the forest, our pouch was really sick on the way home and has spent 2 days at the vets with drips, injections and blood teasts, she is really very ill. Maybe we were just unlucky, i'm just letting you know.

Our review on Sandringham beautiful site, amazing walks. Staff go to great lengths to make your stay as comfortable and pleasurable as possible. All facilities are spotless overall fantastic site. Only down side they have no control or penalties in place for loud campers ?? other than asking them to remain as quite as possible after 11pm consequently if your unlucky like we have been, youd be lucky to be asleep before 2am ?? really do love the place but by golly looking forward to a nights sleep ??
