Stayed 2 nights pre Xmas. Booking easy and very friendly. Owner made me aware that wasn't a 'quiet and peaceful site' due to the proximity of the motorway. It was £34 a night for 2 adults, 2 children, a dog and an electric hook up. Site easily accessible just off the motorway. Large pub within walking distance, and also a Petrol station with a McDonalds. Site next to a couple of commercial units, but everywhere was very neat and tidy. Driveway up to the site had passing places. First impressions were small site but immaculate and very well cared for. There were about 6 hard standings, a pod, and the ribs of a teepee (obviously for use in better weather) and some grass pitches. Site carefully fenced with chicken wire around the wooden fences which would have prevented dog escaping. Grassy areas a bit muddy due to the time of year but mowed and tidy, pitches large with space on the hard standing for the caravan and the car. The pitch was pretty level especially from side to side with just some adjustment needed from front to back. Each pitch had a grassy area with large sturdy picnic bench.Toilet block and showers were portakabins, but immaculately clean and scrupulously well kept just like the rest of site. A gravelled area next to the building had a covered washing up area, a freezer, water and waste disposal and bins including a separate dog waste bin, and plenty of information about the site and the local area. Also included things you could hire such as fire pits and bbq's, and even a dog sitting service. Also some ride on toys for small children to play with. A dog walking field immediately opposite the site (although there was no sign indicating this) Arriving back late I didn't notice the nearby motorway at all. However upon waking at about 5am I was very aware of the noise although the rest of the family were unaffected by it. Overall great site with owners taking pride in the site and keen for guests to have a good stay.

Lovely owners who don't live on site. They were very friendly and helpful. Site is right beside the M3 so the traffic noise day and night is horrendous. The loos and showers are portacabins raised high up 3 steep steps so not ideal for the more mature / less agile! The washing facilities are extremely limited - 2 small wash hand basins to 4 loos so nowhere to wash as opposed to showering. The pitches are long and thin that meant tents were too close for comfort and the children played amongst the cars that were parked in the middle of the site and toys were scattered everywhere. There was no designated play area.

A treasure of a find A wonderful warm welcome from John. Nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were lovely and clean, cleaned daily by a lovely couple. The lovely touch of providing outdoor toys for the children. John and Dawn are both absolute diamonds and were so supportive when my dad was taken ILL. We will be back as the site is small and cosy and was so safe for the grandchildren to play. Easy access to Paultons Park.

Great site, great hosts and great location! We stayed for week visiting family and the general area. We had an excellent welcome and introduction to the facilities which are excellent for young children. Site is very quiet although there is some noise from the M3 but you get used to it very quickly. Certainly did not stop us from sleeping soundly. Field opposite site gate for walking the dog. Two minutes walk from the site is The Mortimer Arms, excellent selection of beers, ales and food plus it's dog friendly. Only bad point all week was the visit to the Vine up the road. Terrible service and below average food. we waited for 10 minutes just to order the food which then took nearly an hour to arrive.
