Overview

We are a local 15th generation farming family with a campsite in East Prawle that has 15 pitches, including 10 hook ups, open all year round (when not too wet!). We are situated in the most southerly point of Devon, a small, quiet, coastal village close to the South West Coast path. We have many idyllic beaches just a stone’s throw away, including Horsely, Gara Rock, Lannacombe and Mill Bay – great spots for swimming and surfing. There are many beautiful walks around the Prawle Point Peninsula and the surrounding South Hams. East Prawle has a pub, the Pigs Nose Inn, and a shop and café, The Piglets Stores and Piglets Café, all situated on the Village Green, the camp site is 200 yards from the village centre. The sailing harbour of Salcombe is 3 miles away, accessible by passenger ferry from East Portlemouth. The old market town of Kingsbridge is 10 miles away and Dartmouth is 15 miles away and is known for its naval heritage. Honey Lane campsite has a well fenced wildlife pond with ducks, moorhens, and other wildlife. Slapton Ley National Nature reserve is 6 miles away with opportunities to spot more rare birds.

This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.

*Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland
