Hunker down in the heart of the National Forest with a glamping holiday in Conkers. You'll be right in the thick of the holiday action with oodles of fun activities and attractions on your doorstep.

For starters, head next door to Conkers Visitor Centre and discover non-stop action at this award-winning attraction.

With 120 acres of outdoor and indoor adventures, woodlands, rope walkways, lakes, play areas and a mammoth Activity Trail, there's more than enough to keep the whole family occupied.

After all that excitement, steady the pace a little at the National Trust's Calke Abbey. Just a 20-minute drive away, this beautiful country estate is home to sprawling ancient parklands, glorious trails and a centuries-old mansion house. Let the kids run amok in its vast grounds or head to the ancient stables for indoor crafts and games. Another great spot to run off some steam is Moira Furnace - the site of a historic blast furnace in Moira, Leicestershire, dating back to the industrial revolution. Now a museum, the well-preserved lime kilns and craft workshops sit in a country park with a play area and tea room. Sip a steaming mug of hot chocolate while the kids burn off some energy in the spacious park.
