Overview

Liz and John have welcomed campers to their CS Site at Kilima Farm since 1985. Kilima Farm lies on the top of Naish Hill. The level site is on a free draining sandy soil, surrounded by 40 acres of its own land and the adjacent fields offer great views over the Avon Vale. There is a small lake on the farm and together with the woodland that abounds in the area it is a haven for wildlife. A footpath leads across the adjacent estate and a short walk takes you to the Rising Sun Pub on Bowden Hill. On down the hill you reach the National Trust Village of Lacock, famous for many period drama film sets, the Abbey, the Fox, Talbot Museum, the Tithe Barn, the Wilts and Berks canal and many hostelries. A short drive brings you to Bowood House and Children’s Activity Centre. The market towns of Corsham, Chippenham, Melksham, Calne and Devizes are within a few miles’radius. The CS site at Kilima Farm gives you the benefit of a quiet Hideaway Site and also proves an excellent base for further adventures including Avebury, Stonehenge, Bath and many stately homes and attractions in Wiltshire.

This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.

*Tents are not permitted on some CS sites in Scotland.
