Overview
Deerpark is a quiet, tranquil site set in a rural location with extensive woodlands around it. There are two adjoining grass fields both of about an acre. The pitches are spacious and all can be supplied with electric. There is a drinking water tap in both fields. Wild flowers have been encouraged to grow in half the area available with tracks winding through them so that visitors can enjoy the seasonal flowers, butterflies and bees. Some shelter is provided by trees and hedgerows.
The woods around the site have many trails that can be walked and some cycled for many miles. Within a fairly short journey there are many visitor attractions, places of interest and endless footpaths through the countryside and along the coast.
A small shop with a cafe and bar can be visited after a short walk down into the valley. It is located on a Forest Holidays site but all are welcome including dogs on a lead. There are grocery shops in nearby larger villages and a few pubs and places to eat. Larger stores are in Bodmin, Liskeard and Looe. Trago Mills department store is 7 miles away.
This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
*Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland
