Perfect stopover site.

This review is for Larrouleta

Perfect stopover site. Its easy to find from the motorway, just a few minutes drive on a good road. Staff are brilliant, helpful and friendly. Pitches are a good size with ehu (need 2 pin adapter). Comfort pitches with water fuill / empty available. Loos / showers are unisex - cubicles more than big enough that you can change within them. Super swimming pool, indoor and heated and included in the overnight price. Worth staying more than a night as so much to see and do in area - walk down to the harbour for numerous cafes, bars and restaurants. Would recommend and will use this site again.

The site comes after a long haul down the A63 from Bordeaux behind so many lorries it's hard to see a gap between them. The staff are friendly and after we put our order in for croissants for the morning, they took us to our pitch. We had booked a larger, all service pitch as we were going to be there for 3 days. All went well until it came to the electrics, whereupon we found it needed a 2 pin connector. Back to reception where they loaned us one, thank goodness. The site is well equipped with a pool, the usual washing facilities and a large shower/toilet block, plenty of bins and WiFi at a reasonable rate. Any negatives? Well the only one we found, and it was quite significant, was the pollarding of the trees all around us from 8.30 in the morning until dusk. The noise was deafening. If you are due here in the next couple of weeks, expect it to still be going on. Other than that, a lovely site, made better by the warm winter sun and beaches close by for our dog to run on.
