The IWM Duxford is a historic airfield and museum of aviation history. This makes a great day out for those staying at our Cambridge Club Site.

The museum is open from 10am every day and has something for all ages to get involved with and learn from.

Exhibitions include the Battle of Britain which explores how Britain protected its skies during the Second World War. The very first Spitfires flew from RAF Duxford and in the Battle of Britain exhibition you’ll get to follow the lives of seven people that served at Duxford during the famous battle.

Experience the size and scale of amazing military vehicles in the Land Warfare exhibition. Within this you’ll find the Normandy Experience with the sounds and sights of D-Day operations and military vehicles that helped to achieve victory.

For kids there are plenty of activities to enjoy inside the museum and there’s a kids playground and activity zone outside along with plenty of green space for running around.
