Hertford Club Site scores tourism award
Hertford Camping and Caravanning Club Site is celebrating after picking up a coveted tourism prize.
The site was named Best Small Accommodation Provider in the ‘Rest Your Head’ category at the Hertfordshire Tourism Awards, as voted for by members of the public.
Phil Barnes, one of the Holiday Site Managers at Hertford, said: “We’re thrilled the site has been recognised in this way. The team works tirelessly from cleaning and gardening to grass cutting and fence building, ensuring the best possible stay for our campers, whether they’re enjoying a short mid-week stay, family holiday or weekend break.”
Hertford Club Site, just outside the town of Hertford itself, opened in 1953 as a memorial to Lord Baden Powell, founder of the UK Scout movement and Club President from 1919 to 1940.
