Meet hundreds of new feathery friends at Birdworld. A great day out for the whole family with plenty to do and see.

What’s here?

As the name suggests, bird world has a fantastic main bird exhibition full of exotic species. Flamingo Cove, Parrots in Flight, Outback Landing, Hornbills and Toucans are just a few of the enclosure’s you can explore at a leisurely pace.

Jerry Wren Farm is one of the most popular areas of the park and is great for younger visitors. In addition to the usual farm animals you’ll find guinea pigs, rabbits, mice and ferrets, many of which can be handled and stroked during the daily animal encounter sessions. You can even purchase some of the animals and their produce such as free-range eggs in the farm shop.

The Underwater World is Birdworld’s aquarium which is included in the price of your ticket. Here you can travel through tropical mountain streams, jungle swamps all the way to marine reefs. Make sure you say hello to Godfrey the grumpy turtle and the miniature crocodiles along the way.

Set in 26 acres are the beautiful gardens at Birdworld. Aviaries and paddocks, seating areas and new flowers with every season and designed with young visitors in mind, there is always an adventure to be found.

Things to do

As well as the fantastic exhibits in the different areas, Birdworld has great facilities and there’s plenty to do whilst having a break from the main attractions.

Puddleducks is Birdworld’s large restaurant serving a range of food and hot snacks. Safari Snacks is a large outdoor café conveniently located halfway between the park entrance and Jenny Wren Farm and there are also a number of kiosks throughout the park.

The gift shop has a fantastic range of gifts and trinkets to remember your time at Birdworld. Souvenirs, cuddly toys, pet care, clothing and educational play sets are just a few of the things you’ll come across in the shop.

Play areas are situated throughout the ground to keep kids of all ages entertained. There are fully accessible toilets throughout the park and plenty of car parking spaces for all. The grounds are comprised of flat, level paths with easy access in mind.
