Visiting Forty Hall

A beautiful Grade I listed Jacobean house set in a Grade II Listed landscape. Forty Hall opened to the public in 2012 following a huge restoration project.
The exhibition inside the hall follows the story of Forty Hall and focuses on life in the seventeenth century. There are many engaging resources for all ages.

The estate surrounding the hall covers 273 acres of land which provides a rare example of an intact 18th Century landscape. Look out for the ornamental lake, medieval fishing ponds and streams, walled garden, and plenty of lakes and lawns to enjoy.

Within the estate you’ll find Forty Hall’s farm which demonstrates and promotes sustainable food production. You’ll get to visit a number of farm animals including some rare breeds. The hall is also home to the only vineyard in London.

The café at Forty Hall is the perfect place to relax after a visit to the hall and a stroll around the estate. The Hall itself is fully accessible, there is free car parking available, step free access and baby changing facilities.
