The lake is arguably most famous for the fact that Rudyard Kipling’s parents met here, liking it so much they named their son after it.

Rudyard Lake is located 2 miles North of the town of Leek near the Staffordshire - Cheshire border. To get there head for Leek or Macclesfield and then take the A523 until you are a mile North of Leek. Turn onto the B5331 for half a mile to the free car p
