Chester Zoo is the UK's number one zoo with over 11,000 animals and 400 different species. 

Visitors can expect to see an array of animals, including the Komodo Dragon, Elephants, Rhinos, Giraffes and Bears. Visit the slithering snakes, waddling penguins, chattering parrots and jumping frogs and toads. 

Expert Zoo Rangers are on hand daily to give talks on the resident animals. Animal exhibits include Europe’s biggest orangutan enclosure, the best Jaguar Enclosure in the world, the Fruit Bat Forest and much more!

Chester Zoo also has award winning gardens which are great for a family walk to wind down after a day of adventure.

There are several play areas around the zoo, each designed for different age ranges for children to burn off energy in a safe environment. Face painting, mini golf and lots of hands on activities are arranged daily to ensure maximum entertainment.

Follow Brown Tourist Signs as you approach chester. Main entrance is just off the A41 / Moston Road and there is have plenty of Free car parking on site.
