2024 Dates Announced for Club Courses

Tuesday 18th October 2023

The Camping and Caravanning Club has announced the 2024 dates for its Club Courses, which are now available to book.

In total there are more than 15 caravan and motorhome manoeuvring courses taking place on dates from February to September 2024 at the Club’s head office in Coventry.

The courses are designed to help both members and non-members brush up on their skills when driving and towing. Courses are available for different levels of experience, whether motorists have never towed or driven a motorhome before or if they just want to refresh their knowledge and boost their confidence behind the wheel.

The courses are:

Confidence Builder

This is ideal for new caravanners or those who want to brush up on the basics. The course will teach you how to load, level, hitch and unhitch your caravan safely. You will also have a classroom session where you’ll learn the legalities relating to towing, and a one-to-one on the road driving session with an instructor.
The non-member price is £195 while Club members pay £170. Course dates: 16 and 17 March; 1, 13 and 14 April; 11 and 12 May; 24, 25 and 26 August.

This is designed for experienced caravanners, or those who have completed the Confidence Builder course. The Pitch and Progress course will help participants take their skills to the next level. On this course participants will learn about narrow roads, country lanes and motorway or dual carriageway driving alongside some off-road exercises, including reversing into a pitch at a local campsite. They will also have extended time with an instructor and a one-to-one on-the-road session.

Motorhome Manoeuvres

This is aimed at both new and experienced motorhome owners and covers all the implications of driving a larger vehicle. On this course, you will learn how to load and reverse your motorhome confidently and have a one-to-one on-the-road session with an instructor.

Non-member price is £200, and members pay £175.

Course dates: 9 and 10 March; 4, 5 and 6 May; 28-29 September.

Fliss Spink, one of the Lead Instructors, said: “Club Courses help hundreds of people every year to brush up their knowledge and boost their confidence so they can go away with the tools they need.

“The courses are designed with real life situations in mind and there are practical exercises to take part in – there’s a bit of time spent in the classroom, but time is also dedicated to one-on-one learning with our friendly and helpful instructors.”
