It was while on the pristine white slopes of Bulgaria skiing with camping friends that the Ellis family made their first step towards TV stardom. Mum of the family, Lesley, saw an advert on Facebook by the BBC asking for people to star in its Back in Time for Tea history programme.
Lesley explained: “I absolutely love that programme, so after talking with my husband John and three children, Caitlin, Freya and Harvey, I sent the email application to the BBC.”
