We all have our own versions of comfort food, a straw poll among my fellow campers revealed a range from steamed puddings, cheese on toast, shepherds pies, roast dinners to tomato soup. It seems that all of these dishes have their roots in traditional British fare. As we snuggle down from the cold this time of year I’ve looked at the stories behind favourites from our regions.
