Get walking with NCCW
Make sure you don’t miss out on getting involved with the Camping and Caravanning Club’s National Camping and Caravanning Week (NCCW), which this year aims to get the nation active outdoors through walking and camping.
NCCW takes place from 28 May to 3 June and will see the Club team up with the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) to support its Mend Our Mountains campaign to carry out more than £1 million of work on footpaths in the UK’s national parks.
The Club and the BMC were due to carry out a spectacular Great Ridge Light Night, on 22 May, with hundreds of volunteers lighting up the Great Ridge in the Peak District with torches. The event was due to be attended by Club President Julia Bradbury, a well-known champion of the benefits of walking. She said: “NCCW is a celebration of the great outdoors through camping in all its forms. Camping is a fabulous way to enjoy a gentle countryside stroll or a big mountain hike – and everything else in between.”
