Farming food festival
Farmer and TV presenter Adam Henson is supporting Happerley Family Food Festivals, a series of campout weeks designed to connect families to farming, wellbeing and the local environment.
The camps are being hosted on a working farm in Gloucestershire during July and August and, if successful, the format will be licensed to other farms next year. The festivals will offer families a week’s stay, with food taking centre stage and a chance to meet producers, participate in demonstrations, enjoy tasting experiences and join in with hands-on activities.
Adam said: “I will be watching these closely and will be considering hosting some of these at our own campsite at the Cotswold Farm Park. Camping can be so much more than a muddy field. Could this be the sustainable future of the all-inclusive?”
Festival goers can choose from three camps, taking place from 24 to 31 July, 7 to 14 August and 18 to 25 August at Willow Hill Farm near Tewkesbury. Tickets cost £250 for a pitch, plus £300 per adult.
