Club curtails its overseas Travel Service
In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the uncertainty around international travel, the Club does not believe it will be able to operate its overseas Travel Service in its current form for some time.
As a Club, we want to provide the best possible activities and excursions. Talking to our partners on the ground, we do not believe we’d be able to carry out our preplanned schedules nor deliver our tours to the standard our members have come to expect and enjoy. As a result, the Club has cancelled its summer and winter rally programmes, its escorted tours – including Worldwide Motorhoming Holidays – plus its overseas site bookings. Members are encouraged to book sites direct should they wish to camp abroad.
For now we will focus on helping members re-arrange and book discounted ferry and Eurotunnel crossings throughout the remainder of this year and into 2021.
Darren Whittinghton, Director of Operations, said: “This has been an incredibly difficult decision to make. Apart from the crossings, we aren’t in a position to manage any overseas bookings. The team is working hard to contact everyone affected and I apologise for the disruption that’s been caused.
“When we’re able to resume our overseas tours and other travel services, there will be challenges in adapting our products to ensure our members can travel safely overseas and with confidence. We’re determined this part of the Club’s offer will return.”
