Club acts on behalf of camping sector
Club staff have been busy working behind the scenes with industry partners and tourism bodies to seek greater clarity on how the campsite sector can safely re-open.
The Club has also called on the government for further information to help with the planned re-opening of Club Sites.
This work included writing to Professor Chris Whitty, the Chief Medical Advisor to the UK Government, offering to meet Public Health officials on a Club Site to discuss the implementation of potential new measures to ensure campsites are both safe and welcoming to campers.
The Club has written to 82 MPs who have a Club Site in their constituency urging them to push for further support measures for the seasonal tourism industry.
Director General Sabina Voysey said: “Club staff have been working hard in the background, which has included a lot of collaborative work with tourist bodies, industry partners and reaching out to Government departments with the offer of sharing our expertise.”
